 Hello BCSCA Members ~

As I shared at our first meeting – I want us all to focus on self-care this year.  I am including a link to an article that shows the benefits for adults of coloring along with some images you can print and color.  Remember – take some time out of each day for yourself!

Merrimack College will be hosting our November meeting on Thursday, the 1st at Biaggios, Paramus.

Also in November we will be holding another breakfast meeting hosted by Lynn University and the Florida Institute of Technology on the 13th.  This meeting will begin at 8:30 AM and will run through 10:30 AM at Northern Highlands Regional High School.

Please log in to the BCSCA website in order to RSVP to both November dates.

Remember, dues can be paid at the door with either a check or credit card.  We are no longer accepting cash.

I also wanted to share with you a short video as a follow up to Kelly Anderson from the AFSP.  Please let me know if your school is going to participate in the Orange Project. http://worthliving.today/

We are going to start early with our holiday give back.  This year we are going to partner with Jersey Cares. This organization serves all of New Jersey.  They offer several ways to give back. We feel that the best way for us to reach the kids would be through the First Night Kit Program.  This program provides kids for domestic violence shelters, transitional housing facilities, runaway safe havens, and foster homes with the hygiene items needed on the first night of stay.   We ask that to the November and/or December meetings you bring the following items that some members of the exec board will turn them into the first night kits and will deliver them after the holidays.

Shampoo

Conditioner

Lotion

Toothpaste

Toothbrushes

Deodorant

Combs and Brushes

Note pads and pens

Calling cards (5 minutes or more)

Pajamas (sizes for children and adults)

T-shirts (sizes for children and adults)

Socks (sizes for children and adults)

Underwear (sizes for children and adults)

New/unopened small toys for children

As always, thank you for your generosity and support of our annual initiative.

Kelly
